As to be expected with all handmade instruments, there may be some minor variations in design, slight imperfections on the body and some small scratches on the Darbuka head. This will not affect the quality of the sound in any way. All items are new and have not been previously used. Darbukas, like most instruments, require tuning and should be played/tuned regularly for the first few weeks until the head sets fully and the true beauty of the sound starts to shine through.

Malik Instruments are proud to offer free international delivery on all Darbuka and Sombaty models.

Orders are typically processed within 1 working day. Once the items are ready, they are shipped from our UK warehouse using the agreed shipping method. Typically, shipping takes 3-5 working days to arrive.

Malik Instruments are not responsible for delays caused by your local customs authority, nor are we responsible for any import taxes imposed by your local customs authority. Please check with your local authority if you require further information on your local import taxes.

Will my Darbuka require tuning? Your Darbuka will come pre-tuned by one of our team and should stay in tune for a good amount of time to come. Darbukas are maintained by changing the skin every so often. Typical timescales to change Darbuka skins are: - Every 6 months for a Darbuka played more than an hour a day (e.g. at a professional level) - Every 12-15 months for a standard Darbuka player (e.g. a casual player who plays for leisure)
How easy is it to change my Darbuka skin? It is straightforward to change the skin on one of our Darbukas. We have various guides available on our website, and our team are always contactable via phone, email or chat to support you.
How will you ensure that my Darbuka is safe during shipping? We have significant amounts of experience in shipping Darbukas around the world. Rest assured that your Darbuka will be packaged securely, sent with a reliable courier and will arrive to you in perfect condition.
Who is this Darbuka suitable for? This Darbuka is suitable for beginner and professional players. All of our Darbukas are manufactured to the highest quality. It is an instrument that you buy once, and buy for life. As you improve your Darbuka skills, you will be able to produce a broader spectrum of sounds from your Darbuka.
Will I be able to perform advanced techniques like the Mahbous and Rizz on my Darbuka? Yes, our Darbukas are designed and manufactured by people who love the Darbuka and play regularly. Each Darbuka is tuned and tested to ensure that it can product all of the sounds that a Darbuka player could want to produce.
How can I learn to play the Darbuka? All of our customers are entitled to 50% off our flagship Darbuka training course, the Darbuka Mastery Program.
